AI in the Mathematical Sciences

This mini-course offers a primer to the world of AI for mathematical scientists. Participants will explore key concepts in AI, gaining foundational knowledge of essential tools, techniques, and applications. The sessions will highlight career pathways for mathematicians interested in AI, offering guidance on how to enter this rapidly growing field. Participants will also engage in discussions on the ethical dimensions of AI, including issues of bias, fairness, and responsible AI development. Whether you’re new to AI or looking to deepen your understanding, these sessions will offer a dynamic blend of technical insight, career exploration, and critical reflection.

It will take place from 1 pm – 4:30 pm on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at IMSI. You can indicate interest in the IPC registration form.
